Release planning
Before strategy synchronization, we identify release criteria, testing strategy and tools, dependencies and deliverables for each release. Purpose is to ensure that all role holders are in sync and release budget and quality are in control.
Release management
During different phases for each release, quality team reviews the following IT solution components:
- Source code for coding guideline compliance
- Database architecture and system architecture for scalability and security
- User interface for Customer preferences and industry standards
- Unit / integration / system level quality
- Technical and non technical documents for completeness, accuracy and readability aspects
Testing
The QA team tests the release by using relevant testing tools and techniques. These are decided at the start of project. To review the bug (defects), the QA team co-ordinates with developers and stakeholders. This continues till the bug is fixed and release quality is acceptable.
Quality Analysis
The QA team identifies and collects root causes for each defect. Secondarily, it ensures correction actions to be taken for future releases. The analysis also facilitates future release criteria and reduces delays in releases.
Engagement Management
- Monitoring engagements for proper management of incidents related to technology, scope, people, schedule etc.
- Ensuring resource deployment is accurate in terms of skill and knowledge, duration and deliverables
- Implementation and monitoring intra team communication (Customer and NINtec, NINtec SME, Developers, QA etc.)
